A major healthcare provider is seeking a Locum Consultant Breast Radiologist to support Breast Services and Diagnostic Imaging. Locum Consultant Radiologist with expertise in Breast Imaging for Breast Services and Diagnostic Imaging within Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The role will initially be offered for 12 months with a view to become a substantive appointment.
The successful applicant will be expected to collaborate with the 8 colleagues within Breast Imaging, to maintain a comprehensive, high quality screening and symptomatic breast service. The appointee will also be part of a wider team of radiologists providing subspecialty and General Radiology services across the Trust.
The post will have a commitment to support a range of diagnostic services including CT, MRI, plain film reporting and ultrasound examinations. A specialist interest may be able to be accommodated.
Candidates must hold the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists and have complete Breast Imaging Training within a symptomatic service. Eligibility for inclusion on the Specialist Register, within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview and experience within the NHSBSP are desirable.
The appointee will be expected to fulfil the following NHS duties within the agreed Job Plans.

The Breast Unit at Nottingham City Hospital is one of the largest in the country, treating in around 7-800 new breast cancers each year diagnosed from 8,000 new referrals to the daily new referral "onestop" breast clinics.
