Working Pattern: Core hours only

We are currently seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Biochemistry to join our client’s team in Derby. This is a full-time, ongoing position working core hours only, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.

Key Responsibilities

You will perform biochemical analyses including routine chemistry, endocrinology, and toxicology using automated platforms. You will ensure accurate results and maintain quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience
  • HCPC registration
  • Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
  • Experience in Biochemistry within a clinical laboratory
  • Experience with automated chemistry analysers – Cobas, Infinity, Hydrasys, Tandem Mass Spec an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • NHS experience (preferred)
