Job overview

To provide an efficient performance and data support service to the Criminal Justice Liaison Service and North East London Foundation Trust, and to act as an effective interface with our partner organisation “TWay Foward”, NHS England and the wider Liaison and Diversion network, local legal services (HMCTS) and other key external stakeholders.

Facilitate provider representation at a periodic data user group which

will meet on a regular basis in order to discuss :
  • Issues of data collection, timetables and process
  • The development of additional London specific indicators
  • Interpretation of definitions and data quality checks
  • Assurance of consistency across London-wide providers

NHS England has additionally developed a pan-London dashboard drawing on submitteddata and other relevant police arrest data, in order to aid contract monitoringand review.

The post-holder will provide support to service leads and performance management with this.

Provide supervision and management of the Band 4 Criminal Justice Liaison Service Administrator, ensuring there is a framework to monitor standards of clinical practice.

Main duties of the job

  • Exercise professional accountability and responsibility
  • Ensure relevant performance management information is captured, analysed and disseminated as required
  • Be responsible for developing, improving and maintaining databases, as well as implementing database change
  • Have an understanding of Criminal Justice Liaison Service’s KPI’s and ensure team compliance with Trust CQUINs
  • Review performance data on a monthly basis and verify quality to agreed specifications

  • Be responsible for the implementation and ongoing management of the performance regime
  • Understand contractual data performance targets and ensure alignment with projects / roles
  • Develop and implement other data targets to monitor performance based on contractual requirements
  • Monitor reliability and performance trends and develop improvement proposals
  • Develop quality assurance measures to support achievement of meaningful outcomes for service users via close liaison with Managers at other partner organisations and NHS commissioners
  • Participate in regular performance review meetings with designated Leads
  • Interpret contract performance data to ensure that clinical staff are performing as agreed; update Operational and Clinical Leads regarding performance

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

High-Cost Area Supplement

This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,714 and a maximum payment of £5,941) (pro rata for part time staff).

  • Previous experience of providing administrative support to a team within The NHS or relevant Health & Social Care.
  • In depth Up to date working hands‑on experience of using Micro Office Excel and other associated software, such as Access, Outlook and Power –Point etc. at a high level.
  • In depth experience and understanding of Rio electronic record system
  • Recent experience of creating, designing, implementing and maintaining databases and reviewing and redeveloping existing data capture systems
  • Experience of extrapolating, analysing and organising data to provide reports for stakeholders
  • Experience of organising and delivering clinical supervision to junior staff along with maintenance of records.
  • Experience of audits and research.
Desirable criteria
  • Understanding of and experience of Quality Improvement (QI) processes.
  • Recent evidence of providing training and data support to team members

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current Trust initiatives, IT and HR policies.
