Responsibilities

• Carry out Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8.
• Compile schematic drawings and produce final documents.
• Provide consultation and pricing for remedial works.
• Survey water systems and supplies as per ACOP L8.
• Carry out repair and servicing of TMVs.
• Cleaning and chlorination of water systems.
• Temperature monitoring and routine sampling.
• Build and maintain rapport with clients.

Job description

Our client is a long-established water consultancy who supplies specialist water treatment/hygiene and legionella services to a mixed portfolio of clients. They are actively recruiting for an experienced, knowledgeable, and committed Legionella Risk Assessor based in and around the Crewe area. The successful candidate will come from a strong water hygiene background and will demonstrate their expert knowledge and experience in carrying out legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 guidelines. Applications from Chester, Manchester, Warrington, and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications, Education & Experience:

• Completed a risk assessment course such as City & Guilds
• Experience carrying out ACOP L8 risk assessments within the water treatment/water hygiene industry
• Good working knowledge of chemical treatment of cooling towers, steam boilers, etc.
• A thorough understanding of commercial water systems supplies and ACOP L8
• Proficient IT skills including using the Microsoft Office Package
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Key Roles:

• Carry out Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8
• Compile schematic drawings and produce final documents for clients/customers
• Provide consultation and pricing for remedial works, and carry out such works as required
• Survey water systems and supplies in line with ACOP L8 guidelines
• Carry out repair and servicing of TMVs
• Cleaning and chlorination of hot and cold-water systems, cooling towers, tanks, etc.
• Temperature monitoring, routine sampling, and analysis of water systems
• Build and maintain a professional rapport with clients
