As part of their continued growth across Australia and New Zealand, they are seeking a Legal Counsel with 4-8 years' post-admission experience to join their collaborative in-house legal team.

Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Legal, Australia & New Zealand, this is a broad in-house role that supports the business locally, while offering the opportunity to contribute to global legal initiatives and cross-border projects.

Key responsibilities include:



  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial contracts


  • Advising on intellectual property, corporate governance, and employment law matters


  • Supporting business stakeholders with timely, commercially aware legal advice


  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of legal processes and contract frameworks


  • Engaging in cross-functional collaboration on global legal initiatives and group-level matters

The Successful Applicant

We're looking for a proactive and commercially minded lawyer who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment. Ideally, you will bring:



  • 4-8 years' PAE, starting in a top-tier law firm, followed by in-house experience


  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills


  • Exposure to corporate and commercial law, with bonus points for IP or agribusiness experience


  • A collaborative mindset and the confidence to advise a wide range of stakeholders


  • A desire to work in-person with a close-knit team (5 days per week at the Melbourne HQ on St Kilda Road)
