Whether you’re working as part of our front-line operations or in our corporate functions, you’ll find people that are positive, inclusive, ready to take on a challenge, and that have your back. We call that our ‘Orange Spirit’, and we hope you’ll share that too.

This position will report directly into the Head of Legal for Commercial, deliver strategic, commercially focused legal services to the wider easyJet business.

You will work as a member of a close knit and highly regarded Commercial Legal team to provide commercially savvy legal advice and support to the wider business in our Commercial, Customer, Marketing, IT, Airport and Ground Operations teams, with support to other areas such as Fleet and Engineering & Maintenance as needs arise.

Responsibilities
  • General commercial contract negotiation and advice: draft, review, negotiate and finalise a broad range of commercial and other contracts including agreements relating to product sales, marketing, commercial partnerships, customer service and experience, IT, airport, and ground operations as well as provide ad hoc advice on day-to-day matters (including contract clause interpretation and disputes).
  • Regulatory compliance and advice: advise on rules and regulations governing easyJet’s activities including in relation to marketing and advertising, provision of flights and related products, and consumer protection to ensure pragmatic risk management and compliance with laws in the UK and key non-UK markets.
  • Continuous improvement: simplify team processes and assist with innovation by providing feedback and suggestions for improvement, engaging proactively in fact finding, building relationships across the business, and driving improvement projects.
Qualifications
  • You will be a UK qualified lawyer with 2-5 PQE and broad commercial contracting experience and ideally in-house or secondment experience either directly or through a client secondment with experience gained in a variety of commercial contracts.
  • You will also have experience with supply chain issues, e-commerce business models, SaaS contracting and data protection issues looked on favourably.
  • Sound contract drafting skills and experience in face-to-face negotiations is crucial.
  • As a strong team player, you build trust and relationships at all levels. You listen well, value different perspectives, and confidently share your own views while always keeping easyJet’s best interests in mind.
  • You’ll be comfortable in a lively, informal, open-plan office and share our passion for the easyJet brand, its values, and delivering an excellent customer experience.
What you’ll get in return
  • Competitive base salary with up to 20% bonus potential.
  • 25 days holiday, pension scheme, life assurance, and a flexible benefits package.
  • Discounted staff travel scheme for friends and family
  • Annual credit for discount on easyJet holidays
  • ‘Work Away’ scheme, allowing you to work abroad for 30 days a year
  • Electric vehicle lease salary sacrifice scheme
