Role: Lecturer - Early Years and/or Primary Education
Location: Bedford Campus
Salary: Between £31,930 and £36,878 per annum DOE and Qualifications
Hours: 37hrs/52 Weeks
Contract Type: Looking for Permanent - Full Time/Permanent - Part Time/Associate Hours

About the role:

We are looking for a Lecturer in Early Years and/or Primary Education to join our Care, Childcare and Counselling department at Bedford Campus. As a Lecturer you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

  • Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject specialisms on a range of courses and levels.
  • Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential.
  • Managing students' learning and provide a high-quality learning experience.
  • Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching.
  • Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.

About you:

  • Certificate in Education qualification (or willingness to work towards)
  • Level 4 (and above) qualifications in Early Years or Primary Education related studies
  • Experience in the Early Years or Primary Education sector
  • English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent or willingness to achieve English and mathematics Level 2 within one year
  • Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and work effectively to deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing
