A local government authority in Wales is seeking a Learning Support Officer (EAL) for 21 hours per week. Learning Support Officer (EAL) — 21 hours per week. Term Time. Temporary until March 2026. Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team who provide outreach support to pupils for whom English is an Additional Language and/or Children and Young People from the Gypsy Roma and Traveller communities in school across Bridgend County Borough Council promoting inclusion and acceptance of all pupils. Bridgend is committed to supporting all children, ensuring they feel supported and settled in our local communities.
The role requires individuals to be sensitive, compassionate and caring to assist integration into their local schools. You will need to be proactive and solution focussed ensuring the support children access meets their needs leading to them flourishing in their local communities and improving educational outcomes.

An enhanced Criminal Records Bureau is a requirement of this post.

An Enhanced with Children’s Barred List criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
A valid driving licence is requirement for this post.
