A forward-thinking educational organization in Rochester is seeking a Learning Mentor to support students in accessing educational activities and promoting their mental health. You will work closely with teachers and assist individuals and small groups to ensure effective learning experiences. Ideal candidates will have experience in similar roles and a commitment to safeguarding the welfare of young people. We are recruiting an additional Learning Mentor to join our expanding new school, providing support to our students in lessons, identifying their strengths and difficulties. The successful candidates will carry out effective intervention, which may be 1:1 or in a small group, planning appropriate personalised interventions as necessary. You will support teachers to enable our students to access learning by supervising and assisting them across a wide range of supported learning activities.
Experience in a similar role would be beneficial, as would the ability to manage the behavioural difficulties and pastoral needs of individual and groups of students.
