The opportunity:

This role focuses on ensuring that new and existing employees receive structured training and coaching from induction, onboarding through to development of skills, adopting of best practice, and working to standard operating procedures. The role is responsible for the maintenance and update of training records and systems and liaison with the regional and local teams to ensure progress, compliance, and standards.

The role is a permanent Hybrid role based out of our beautiful HQ in Henham (CM22 6AA), enjoying a rural location, where lunch is provided onsite daily and ample parking. As well as regular travel to our regional location to support our Regional Training Coaches.

Develop and deliver high-quality and accessible training materials and SOP’s for all core roles and tasks.

  • Liaise with the Talent and P&C teams to ensure a seamless process of induction and onboarding.
  • Liaise with all functions to ensure that changes or developments in working practices or systems are reflected in SOP’s and trained out to all stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain systems to track compliance and progress to provide useful MI and corrective action reports when required.
  • Source and recommend appropriate external training when required (H&S etc).
  • Deliver and manage the induction and onboarding process for new starters.
  • Contribute to the formulation of an annual training plan and budget for the group.
  • Contribute to the assessment of candidates as part of the recruitment process, providing feedback on the technical/knowledge baseline skills for all suitable candidates.
  • Facilitate regular meetings and engagement with Regional Coaches to ensure alignment and progressive agenda to build and develop skills.

What you will need:

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to coach and deliver training that is tailored to the individual learning style.
  • Good problem solver with a patient, methodical approach to record keeping in relation to learner's progress.
  • A passion for plants and the development of people.
  • Comfortable working independently but able to share knowledge and information with the wider team.
  • Able to organise themselves to always be effective.
  • The ability to objectively assess situations and challenges prior to reacting.
  • Experience of delivering excellent customer service 'in the field'.
  • Experience of coaching and mentoring other team members.
  • Experience delivering training programmes to team members would be desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of interior plants and horticulture.
  • Experience working as a field service technician is desirable but not essential.

This is a newly created role, and it is likely that it will evolve over time. The key attribute we are seeking is the desire to pass on knowledge and ways of working in a structured way that sees learners flourish, enjoy their roles, and succeed within Planteria.

This role requires travel to our regional teams, so a full driving license is essential.
