Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working with 1 day in every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

About the role:

This hands-on role involves working within the Software Engineering team to manage the SRE function. You will collaborate with the Head of Engineering and cross-functional teams to develop solutions and enhance user experiences.

You will review and lead strategies to improve the security, performance, and scalability of our software and services across cloud infrastructure. The role offers autonomy to shape the team’s future based on your extensive experience in:

  • Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Platform management
  • Development and deployment of APIs using containerized environments such as Kubernetes
  • Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform
  • Collaborating with stakeholders in an agile environment
  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
  • AWS services, especially IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
  • CloudFormation and CDK
  • Experience with serverless computing
