Job summary

A leading construction firm is seeking an experienced Site Manager to coordinate a new build house project in Newbury. The ideal candidate should have a robust background in managing new-build housing and possess strong leadership skills. Responsibilities include overseeing on-site activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining quality throughout the project. This position offers a salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum with a permanent, full-time contract.

Qualifications

• Experienced as a first lead Site Manager on a smaller or volume, high-quality development.
• Experience managing new-build housing schemes from groundworks through to handover.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all on-site construction activities and subcontractors.
• Manage site logistics, sequencing, and short-term programming.
• Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
• Monitor quality of workmanship and materials across all stages of the build.
• Liaise to resolve technical queries with team.
• Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, and progress updates.
• Lead site meetings and regular toolbox talks.
• Oversee snagging, commissioning, and final handover to client.
• Promote a positive site culture and good working relationships.
