Lead Gas Engineer

Description

As part of our Emergency Response Team, you’ll be the first on the scene at customers’ homes, which makes you the face of our brand for people who are worried about potential gas escapes or carbon monoxide activated alarms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with emergency services on behalf of customers, being part of a team responsible for protecting people’s lives. You may interact with vulnerable or elderly customers, or those seeking help, requiring empathy and a sense of pride in keeping people safe in their homes.
  • Perform a varied range of duties including installation, replacement, and maintenance of gas meters for home and business customers, high-rise surveys, gas safety regulation surveys, and fitting cooker safety valves.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • CCN1 or CMA1 qualification is required to apply. MET1 qualification would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Experience working within a gas environment with good knowledge of gas appliances; testing, purging and the commissioning of pipework.
  • Understanding of standards, legislation, codes of practice and health and safety is important.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ultimately, a mindset of pride, purpose, quick thinking, and ownership to fit within our team.
