Job description
Overview

Lead Clinical Psychologist, REVIVE Team, maternity cover fixed term for 12 months – 30 hours; secondment opportunity. This post will manage and lead the Revive team, comprising a play therapist, 2 CAMHS practitioners and an additional clinical psychologist, as part of Blackburn with Darwen Children’s Services. Revive is a specialist Emotional Health and Well-being Team that is developing its service, expanding the use of outcome measures and reviewing service delivery.

The post is seconded into Revive from East Lancashire Child and Adolescent Service (ELCAS). ELCAS is a specialist service with Child Psychiatrists, mental health practitioners, specialist therapists and clinical psychologists providing evidence-based interventions for children with mental health difficulties and their families. The Service has strong links with local universities and regularly provides clinical placements. ELCAS is rated as Outstanding by the CQC.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and clinical supervision to the Revive team over a 4-day period, and participate in service management tasks, including implementing robust processes of clinical governance.
  • Lead the delivery of safe, personal, and effective Emotional Health and Well-Being services for the specialist group within Blackburn with Darwen.
  • Coordinate and contribute to both direct and indirect work with young people and families in care or with a care history, including consultations, supervision, training and reflective practice.
  • Work with stakeholders and interfacing services to promote psychological thinking and high-quality care.
  • Travel to service sites as required; main administrative base is Duke Street, Blackburn (Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust).

Working Arrangements
  • Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of mental health and physical health services; flexible working options are encouraged (term time, part time, compressed hours, flexi-time, career breaks).   • The service operates from multiple sites across East Lancashire; the main base for administration is Blackburn with Darwen Children’s Services, Duke Street, Blackburn. Some travel will be required.
