Qualifications

• Substantial experience of psychiatry in a community setting.
• Experience of teaching and training at an undergraduate/postgraduate level.
• Demonstrable interest in gender sensitive mental health services.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct psychiatric services for children and young people.
• Work closely with Consultant Psychiatrists and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Engage with social services and primary care workers for continuity of patient care.

Skills

Full GMC registration with a licence to practice

Ability to work creatively within a multi-disciplinary team

Experience of providing psychological and/or social interventions

Experience serving a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic population

Education

MRCPsych or equivalent

Approved under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act

Commitment to personal programme of Continuing Professional Development

Broad clinical training including both inpatient and community service
