Job description

We are looking for a Labourer to join an established company in the Northampton area. This role is offering a temporary position, with ongoing work.

Shift pattern between Monday to Sunday (Sat and Sun are standby days £30 per day and time and half for call out). £16–18ph paid weekly. Northampton - with call outs to Worcester region. Temporary.

Labourer

As a Labourer, your main duties will be working on properties to:

• Remove visible mould from walls, ceilings, and surfaces
• Prepare areas for treatment (cleaning, scraping, washing down)
• Use mould‑treatment chemicals
• Assist with drying and ventilation equipment (dehumidifiers, heaters, fans)
• Help identify damp sources (leaks, condensation problems, poor ventilation)
• Carry out basic repairs related to damp issues (repainting, sealing, patch repairs)
• Support technicians during fogging or specialist treatments
• Ensure rooms are left clean, safe, and ready for tenants

Qualifications

To be successful as a Labourer, you will need:

• Willingness to learn
• Previous experience in social housing or councils
• Previous experience in mould removal
• Have worked in roles such as mould remover, damp and mould assistant, damp and mould technician, damp and mould specialist, mould removal technician, painter and decorator etc
