Overview

Laboratory Technician — Norwich based • 3 month initial contract • Full-time Mon to Fri (Apply online only) • Some flexibility around start/finish times • Hourly pay rate around £14.00–£15.50/hr • Immediate starts available.

Responsibilities

• Execute soil/rock sample testing in the Norwich Laboratory to meet client specifications and accreditation bodies (UKAS ISO17025, British Standard 1377).
• Prepare soil samples and carry out various lab-based tests (training provided on tests and data recording).
• Enter information into MS Excel or similar (computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Excel and working with spreadsheets).

Qualifications/Experience

• Experience working in a laboratory environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and able to handle samples and equipment.
• Experience with geotechnical testing methods (Atterberg limits, Gas Jar, or sieving) is preferable but not essential; training provided.
