Job Overview

KS2 Teaching Assistant - Full-time, temporary long-term cover from as soon as possible until Summer 2026. This full-time KS2 Teaching Assistant role begins as soon as possible and offers long-term temporary cover supporting a KS2 pupil with SEMH and cognition needs. The school provides a safe and inclusive environment where pupils are encouraged to be respectful, resilient, and ambitious. Pupils enjoy a broad curriculum and benefit from strong pastoral care and positive relationships with adults.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with SEMH and cognition needs
  • Assist with classroom activities and differentiated learning tasks
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support plans
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and well‑being
  • Support with midday supervision duties if required
  • Contribute to a calm and inclusive learning environment
