Job summary

A leading fashion supplier in the United Kingdom is seeking a Junior Womenswear Designer to join their busy team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working with suppliers and manufacturers, particularly in Bangladesh, along with proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and a strong eye for fashion trends. The role includes assisting senior designers in creating commercially viable designs across a wide range of categories.

Our Client a supplier to many high street retailers, is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Womenswear Designer to join their busy team.

Junior Womenswear Designer - The Role
  • Assist senior designers – Research current fashion trends to create forward-thinking, commercially viable designs.
  • Design across a broad range of categories on ladieswear and Kidswear.
  • Produce detailed technical CADs and comprehensive tech packs using Adobe Illustrator.

At least 3 + years of experience working for a supplier within the Design Team

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience working with suppliers and manufacturers, particularly in Bangladesh or similar production environments.
  • Knowledge of garment construction, fabric properties, and technical design.
  • Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD software).
  • Strong understanding of fashion trends, colour theory, and garment functionality.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a creative approach to design.
