The Post

The Digital & Security (DaS) SBU supports the NHS Scotland national eHealth agenda through the effective delivery of digital products and specialist services that enable clinical process and efficiency improvements across Scotland. This includes the delivery of digital services, systems, data and contracts enabling cross-Board/boundary integration, workflow, information sharing, cost efficiency realisation and collaboration.

To meet increasing demand from Health Boards and the Scottish Government, NSS Digital and Security (DaS) Business Unit is seeking to recruit a Junior Service Manager within the Cloud Engineering & Digital Operations (CE&DO) team. The role provides Service Management for national GP IT systems used by NHS Scotland, including facilitating clinical-based governance, managing change and release cycles, incident and problem management, and assuring the agreed level of service from suppliers while managing support capacity and costs.

The Candidate

You will have excellent inter-personal skills and be able to work with health professionals in NSS, NHS boards and Local Authorities. You will demonstrate excellent organisational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. The ability to maintain strict confidentiality is essential. You should be able to manage conflicting demands and differing priorities, and negotiate with and influence both customers and suppliers to agree timescales and deadlines.

Location and Working Pattern
  • Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow
  • Currently hybrid working
  • Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
