Job summary

A global sourcing manufacturer in London is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Garment Technologist to assist the Senior Technologist with various responsibilities. You will oversee fabric testing, conduct quality evaluations of materials, and liaise with designers. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of textiles and garment construction, with a keen eye for detail. Full training will be provided to support your growth within the role.

Qualifications

• Understanding of manufacturing, textiles, and garment construction.
• Knowledge of pattern cutting, construction, and manufacturing techniques.
• Technical knowledge preferably gained in a commercial or supplier environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fabric testing and fittings of first samples.
• Undertake quality evaluations of materials and final product.
• Respond to product queries from wholesalers and customers.
• Make and size pre-production garments.
• Liaise with designers and adapt designs for production.

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Garment Technologist to join their London-based office to support the Senior Garment Technologist and to assist with admin. Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing fabric testing and fittings of first samples.
• Undertaking quality evaluations of materials and checking the quality of the final product.
• Responding to product queries, from wholesalers and customers.
• Making and sizing pre-production garments.
• Liaising with designers, and adapting designs to suit production methods.

Desired Skills:

• An understanding of manufacturing, textiles, and garment construction.
• An understanding of pattern cutting, construction, and manufacturing techniques.
• Technical knowledge gained preferably within a fast-paced commercial or supplier environment.
• Exceptional eye for technical detail to consistently ensure the correct documentation is used and followed.
