A leading defense organization in Stevenage is offering a four-year Electronic Engineering apprenticeship program. This program allows you to study towards a BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering while gaining practical experience in various engineering departments. The Electronic Engineering apprenticeship programme develops skills in designing and integrating electronics for MBDA’s missile systems, including Weapon Control Units, actuators, telemetry and communication systems, and related equipment. The four-year programme is an accredited engineering scheme. You will study towards a BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering at The University of Hertfordshire for 4 years, with a work rotation that includes university study leave and placements across Electronic and Mechanical Engineering and related areas. You will gain lab experience and may develop software for manufacturing processes. External placements with MBDA’s contractors and suppliers may also be available.

You will have the opportunity to create programs for SMT lines and NPI work, with some work in labs and potential external placements. The work week includes study leave for university and rotational placements within MBDA.

Our enhanced parental leave offers up to 26 weeks for maternity, adoption and shared parental leave, with enhancements for paternity, neonatal leave and fertility support. We also offer 2 weeks enhanced pay for paternity leave and up to 12 weeks neonatal care leave where hospital care is required.
