Job summary

A leading testing and certification company in Watford is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee successful technology integration and transformation projects. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of IT Project Management experience, strong communication skills, and knowledge of Cyber Security compliance. This role requires managing project lifecycles and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with corporate standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT Project Management experience, especially in IT Infrastructure transformation.
• Experience with Cyber Security compliance frameworks such as Cyber Essentials.
• Prince2 Practitioner and/or APM PMQ qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery lifecycle of a portfolio of IT Projects.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements.

Job Description:

The IT Project Manager plays a critical role in managing the delivery of IT projects. This role requires a strong project delivery background with a proven track record of successful technology integration & transformation projects in highly regulated industries. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for developing and executing plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring adherence to Element’s technology strategy and security standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery lifecycle of a portfolio of IT Projects, ensuring compliance with standards, security, and best practices.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and manage expectations.
• Create and execute detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, and risk strategies.
• Report on project progress, budgets, and risks; resolve issues through strong governance and decision-making.
• Ensure smooth handover to operational teams with proper documentation and training.
• Conduct post-project reviews for continuous improvement.

Experience / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 7+ years of IT Project Management experience, especially in IT Infrastructure transformation involving Site facilities, Data Centres, Networks & Cloud technologies in mid/large-scale businesses.
• Experience with Cyber Security compliance frameworks such as Cyber Essentials.
• Prince2 Practitioner and/or APM PMQ qualification is advantageous.
• Experience working within global, cross-functional teams.
• Proven experience managing projects up to £2M, with budget and procurement responsibility.
• Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
