Band 6 IT Midwife - Full Time, Permanent

Frimley Park Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and forward-thinking Band 6 Midwife to join our innovative Maternity IT Team.

This exciting full-time, permanent role offers a unique 50/50 split between:

Clinical midwifery practice, and

Digital and IT-focused work, supporting maternity systems and improving digital pathways for women, babies, and staff.

You will play a key role in bridging clinical practice and digital innovation, helping to enhance patient care through effective use of maternity IT systems.

Main duties of the job
  • As part of your role you will be approachable on a daily basis to troubleshoot EPIC problems, ensuring good data quality and high standards of record keeping.
  • There will also be contact between yourself and other departments in the Trust such as Informatics and Information.
  • You will need to have up to date Information Governance training and abide by the rules of this at all times.
  • You may be required to attend meetings in the trust to represent maternity and give relevant feedback.

Qualifications
  • Registered Midwife.
  • Current on the NMC register.
  • Diploma/BSc in Midwifery Studies.
  • Registered Nurse.
Experience
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of the 6 C's.
  • Evidence of successful collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Understands the role of the Supervisor of Midwives and its application to midwifery practice.
  • Has participated in undertaking midwifery research and audit.
Skills
  • Demonstrates clinical skills commensurate with a Band 6 midwife
  • Effective internet and IT skills.
