Overview

Senior Position: IT Infrastructure Manager - Epsom, Surrey

Salary: £46,896.00 - £50,263.00

Contract: Full Time & Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

This FE college is seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager to lead the IT team and ensure secure, reliable systems that directly support staff and students.

Key Qualities, Skills & Experience
  • Evidence of leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent customer service with ability to resolve IT issues promptly, ideally in the Education Sector or similar.
  • System administration documentation.
  • Experience with Azure (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) and modernising legacy systems.
  • Networking expertise (Cisco Meraki, SD-WAN, VPN, BGP, Zero Trust).
  • Experience with VMware, enterprise storage, and cloud networking.
  • Automation skills (PowerShell), plus Intune/Jamf MDM at enterprise scale.
  • Familiarity with service desk and change management processes.
  • Ability to create reports in Power BI.
  • Awareness of Cyber Essentials Plus; knowledge of AI tools an advantage.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the IT infrastructure team.
  • Deliver projects across on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Maintain existing systems while introducing secure, efficient solutions.
  • Align IT infrastructure with the college\'s strategic goals.
  • Manage budgets, supplier relationships, and IT compliance.
  • Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues.

Work Pattern

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Rota: 8:30am - 8.30pm

Days: Monday - Friday with some weekend work as required
