An IT Services partner in the United Kingdom is seeking a capable desktop support technician to provide on-site assistance for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide onsite / on-call assistance to end-users within the organization’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
1+ year of experience in a desktop support, helpdesk, or IT technician role.
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, and basic networking concepts.
Familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Zendesk, or JIRA.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with macOS or Linux environments.
IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator.
Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and remote management tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune, or JAMF).
On-site support may be required.
Occasional lifting of equipment (up to 25 lbs).
Flexible schedule or after-hours support may be needed during maintenance windows or emergencies.
