A purpose-led wellness brand in Brighton is seeking an Interim Head of Finance to manage the financial landscape on a 6-month contract. The role involves overseeing financial controls, leading month-end processes, and supporting a junior finance team. Qualifications

• Must be a qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
• Experience in scaling up businesses is essential.
• Ability to work independently when required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls.
• Lead the month-end close process and produce monthly management accounts.
• Manage all internal and external reporting.
• Act as the primary contact for auditors.
• Provide financial performance insight and variance analysis.
• Oversee VAT returns and liaise with external tax consultants.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Monitor and forecast cashflow.
• Provide coaching to junior team members.
• Contribute to building a high-performing finance function.
