Overview

We are instructed by a highly regarded London-based law firm that is looking to strengthen its insurance and construction disputes offering with the addition of an experienced disputes lawyer.

Responsibilities

• Act on complex professional negligence, construction and insurance coverage disputes
• Defend cladding and fire safety claims, including those arising under the Building Safety Act 2022 and Defective Premises Act 1972
• Advising insurers on coverage, policy interpretation and excess of loss issues
• Manage claims typically up to £5m, with involvement in higher-value matters
• Work closely with insurers, brokers, insureds, experts and Counsel

Qualifications

• Strong experience in insurance disputes and/or construction-related claims
• Exposure to cladding and fire safety matters
• Excellent drafting, analytical and client-handling skills
• Experience operating within a collaborative, high-quality disputes practice
