Overview

Applications are sought for a maternity cover position for one year as Institute Business Coordinator at Barts Cancer Institute (BCI), Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary, University of London. The post holder will offer support to the BCI's Institute Strategic Manager and Institute Director, providing senior-level operational support, ensuring local business continuity, providing oversight of compliance requirements, and coordination of local projects and priorities, including high level strategic events.

Responsibilities
  • Offer senior-level operational support to the Institute Strategic Manager and Institute Director.
  • Ensure local business continuity.
  • Provide oversight of compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate local projects and priorities, including high-level strategic events.
  • Manage sensitive diary and business management activities in a complex environment.
  • Prepare papers and take/write up minutes for significant meetings.
Qualifications
  • Experience providing senior administrative or operational support within a complex organisation, ideally in Higher Education or a comparable sector.
  • Experience of managing a sensitive diary and business management activities in a complex environment.
  • Experience of servicing meetings of a significant nature, including the preparation of papers and taking and writing up minutes.
