Job description

As an AWS Infrastructure Engineer, you'll play a critical role in building and maintaining scalable, secure cloud infrastructure that supports both customer-facing products and internal applications. You’ll join a tight-knit Systems Operations team with a strong DevOps mindset, owning infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and helping drive the migration and optimization of our platforms in Amazon AWS. This role has on-call responsibilities.

Compensation range: 115K-130K USD

Other compensation: Performance bonus eligible

The actual salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, licensure, certifications, related experience, and other related factors.

Responsibilities
  • Build, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform (this is not a Terraform-curious role—we need a Terraform pro).
  • Administer and secure Linux-based environments (RHEL/CentOS/Amazon Linux).
  • Optimize system performance and troubleshoot issues across cloud and application layers.
  • Manage deployments, patches, and upgrades for in-house and customer-facing platforms.
  • Support our DevOps toolchain: Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, Python, and more.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and release events with a cool head and quick hands.
  • Work closely with engineers, developers, and security teams to keep things running clean, fast, and safe.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a Systems Admin/DevOps/Cloud Engineer role.
  • Deep Terraform fluency (HCL, modules, state management, etc.).
  • Proven experience managing AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, IAM, Load Balancers, CloudWatch, etc.).
  • Strong command of Linux (performance tuning, networking, scripting, LVM, yum, systemd).
  • Experience with container services (ECS, Docker, Kubernetes/EKS a plus).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and monitoring platforms (Jenkins, Artifactory, Zabbix, Pingdom).
  • Bonus points for: Ansible, Chef, Python scripting, and a cool sense of humor under pressure.
