Our client is a global name in the field of IT Services who are looking to expand their internal IT team in the Peterborough area, by hiring a 3rd line Infrastructure Engineer to join them on a permanent basis.

In this role you will be providing technical support for the company’s internal infrastructure platform, as well as providing excellent solutions to technical issues.

If you have at least 5 years working in IT Infrastructure and are looking to work in a brand-new team in its region, this is the role for you!

Essential Skills:

• Plenty of experience utilising Virtualisation technology (VMWare or Hyper-V)
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills
• Experience with Microsoft Clustering
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose defects in complex systems
• ITIL certification
• Ability to take ownership of issues, and provide effective solutions
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and address customer issues in a polite and effective manner

Desirable Skills:

• Cloud-based technology experience such as Azure or AWS
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Exposure to Linux
• Basic Network understanding

Salary: £65,000 per year
