Job summary

A UK government approved ICT Consultancy is seeking an ICT Architect to design and deliver a documented ICT capability architecture. Candidates must have experience with networking and security standards, including VMware and Palo Alto firewalls. The role requires on-site presence in Farnborough and may require high-level security clearance. This is an urgent position with significant responsibilities in ICT infrastructure design.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Deliver a documented architecture for an ICT capability (including hosting elements and desktop infrastructure) for which high level design has been completed.
• Deliver high level and low-level network schematics (Visio).
• Deliver written documentation to adequately describe the system and demonstrate conformance with requirements.
• Influence stakeholders to accept the proposed design.
• Plan, track and report on progress for internal and external stakeholders using client processes.
• Liaise with required stakeholders across the client business to understand the required architecture.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness improvement.
• Contribute to and agree test plans with the test team to prove the solution.
• On-site minimum 4 days a week in the Client location (Bristol, Farnborough preferred) for the duration of the activity.
