Are you a dynamic and skilled Industrial Manufacturing Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity? Our client, a leading organisation in the manufacturing sector, is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join their team for a temporary full‑time position in Telford. This role is set for 6 months and is perfect for someone passionate about driving innovation and efficiency in manufacturing processes.

About the Role

As an Industrial Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the design intent and integrity of products assembled on the shop floor. Your expertise will contribute to optimising production processes and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Time Determination & Ergonomics Specialist: You'll be the go-to expert in determining the time required to manufacture products and improving ergonomic aspects within your perimeter.
  • Process Improvement: Lead and contribute to continuous improvement and productivity actions, focusing on both manual and automated processes.
  • Line Architecture Design: utilise your experience in line design and assembly methodologies to develop innovative solutions that meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
  • Capacity Management: Manage workload balance using dedicated tools like iQ simulation, CAMA, and CORIM to optimise lead times and assure line capacity.
  • Implementation of Productivity Plans: Define and implement effective productivity action plans to enhance overall performance.
  • Training Development: Write operator work instructions and assist in training to ensure all team members are equipped with the knowledge they need to succeed.
  • Investment Feasibility Studies: analyse and qualify investments to ensure they align with the organisation's needs.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in industrial manufacturing engineering, with a strong background in process design, ergonomics, and productivity optimisation.
  • Lean certification in manufacturing processes is a plus!
  • Familiarity with simulation tools and methodologies to enhance production efficiency.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
