Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  • Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and special offerings.
  • Ensure all food served aligns with health and safety guidelines, including HACCP protocols.
  • Assist in serving guests when required, ensuring excellent customer service is provided at all times.
  • Lead by example in fostering a positive team environment centred on professionalism and hospitality.
Experience
  • Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Supervising experience in a culinary context is highly desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of food production techniques, cooking methods, and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to manage teams effectively.
  • Demonstrated understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
