Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare setting within the last 2 years.
• Commitment to maintaining CPD, in line with apprenticeship requirements.
• Hold a current Enhanced DBS registered for the update service.

Responsibilities

• Participate in regular training and standardisation as an IEA.
• Assess candidates' performance per grading criteria.
• Report risks and issues during assessments.

Skills

Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills

Ability to assess free from bias

Understanding of healthcare sector

Sufficient technical knowledge of maternity support role

Education

Formal assessor qualification (e.g. A1, TAQA)

Regulated occupational competence qualification at level 5 or above
