Qualifications

Inclusion Coach

Hours: 21 hours per week

Weeks: Term time - 40 weeks per year

Location: Castleford College

Salary: £29,267 to £31,050 pro rata

£15,259 to £16,188 actual salary

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Inclusion Coach to join our fantastic ALS team, to provide coaching and additional support to a cohort of learners with a range of support needs on a one-to-one basis and group situations, with and without direct supervision.

You will develop specific strategies to support learner achievement, liaising with teaching and non-teaching staff to encourage learner motivation and engagement in their chosen area of study. You’ll contribute to the development of students’ literacy, communication, numeracy and study skills – as well as helping increase their levels of independence and social awareness in a range of settings.

  • Plan and provide support to students with SEND and High Needs outside of the classroom
  • Contribute towards interventions led by Inclusion Managers or the Student Experience Team
  • Use Trauma‑Informed practice to manage the behaviours of High Needs, EHCP and SEND students
  • Develop resources and toolkits to aid students with resilience and personal wellbeing
