Ceredigion Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES) are looking to recruit an Operations Support Supervisor. ICES fulfils a key role in the provision of care in the community by supplying important medical equipment to residents who need support. This helps to prevent hospital and care home admissions, expedites discharge, and supports people’s independence in their own home.

About the role

The successful candidate will be a key member of the management team in ICES, they will be the first line manager for two members of staff. The role will also involve supervising the day-to-day operations of the service.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

  • Supervise the logistical operations of the service
  • Support decision making and prioritisation of tasks and operational issues
  • Offer advice and guidance to other professionals
  • Support the safe running of a busy warehouse
  • Prepare documentation and attend meetings discussing the daily operations

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced individual, some of the characteristics we will be looking for are:

  • The ability to be innovative and creative in solving problems
  • An aptitude for organising and planning
  • Someone who is passionate about supervising and supporting staff
  • The ability to establish effective working relationships with a wide range of agencies and individuals
  • Skills and experience in compiling accurate records and reports
