Job description

Lockton Re’s Client Services team is currently looking for skilled reinsurance professionals to join them during an exciting period of growth.

Working closely with our broking teams and colleagues within client services, your skills and experience will enable effective and accurate service delivery to Lockton Re’s clients and internal stakeholders, with opportunities to grow your career within a fast-growing reinsurance brokerage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertaking monthly review of Aged Debt reports, chasing for due items, and arranging settlement of held balances.
  • Preparing and reconciling Underwriter statements and arranging payments.
  • Authorising payments, sending them via G Treasury to the bank, and monitoring payment status.
  • Verifying bank details and loading account details.
  • Posting payment transactions on the company cashbook for the Bureau Signings.
  • Uploading daily cash from the BARRT system and posting cash receipts.
  • Journal posting for cash movements and trades.
  • Running daily reports for Bureau Signings, reconciling balances, and identifying unmatched signings.
  • Responding promptly to email queries.
  • Working independently, managing priorities, and supporting team colleagues to ensure excellent client service.
  • Building relationships with team members, internal stakeholders, and external reinsurers.
  • Identifying underwriters' individual requirements and collaborating to ensure seamless payment processes.
  • Participating in client and reinsurer meetings as required.
Candidate Requirements:

Previous relevant experience is essential for success in this role, though we are open to various backgrounds. Candidates should be able to demonstrate some of the following:

  • Experience in a reinsurance accounting role, ideally within a broking environment.
  • Experience dealing with large corporate reinsurers is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Open TWINS is beneficial.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, including resolving complex issues and devising actionable solutions.
