Job summary

A pharmaceutical company is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to oversee EHS policies and ensure compliance with regulations in South West England. The ideal candidate holds a BSc/MSc in a relevant field and has prior experience in H&S/Environmental management, preferably in a GMP environment. Qualifications

• Proven experience in H&S / Environmental management.
• Experience in a GMP pharmaceutical setting is desirable.

• Ensure all EHS policies and procedures are in place for sitewide activities.
• Maintain and update Health & Safety / Environmental manuals.
• Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure standards are maintained.

Overview

HSE Manager | Pharmaceuticals | Permanent position

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all EHS policies and procedures are in place for sitewide activities


• Keeping abreast of changes to EHS regulations, reviewing and updating site policies as and when required


• Maintaining and updating H&S / Environmental manuals, ensuring accurate and up to date details are available and followed by others


• Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure H&S / Environmental standards are always understood and maintained, including all risk assessments / COSHH


• Focal point for site security


• Conducting internal audits and working with 3rd parties for any external auditing, including ISO 14001


• Being the voice of Health and Safety and a focal point for all aspects of H&S training

Qualifications

Applications are invited from candidates with a BSc / MSc in a scientific / engineering or H&S qualification / NEBOSH, together with previous suitable H&S / Environmental management experience ideally in a GMP pharmaceutical setting
