An educational institution in Slough seeks an experienced Interim Head of HR to lead high-quality HR services across multiple schools. The successful candidate will provide senior HR advice, oversee employee relations, and manage daily HR operations. The role requires an HR generalist background and knowledge of education policies. Flexibility in workdays is required as this is an office-based position. This interim role lasts for six months, with a possibility of extension.
This opportunity is to lead HR as our Interim Head of HR as part of SEBMAT's Central Team. This role is based at Lynch Hill Enterprise Academy in Slough. As this role is Trust-wide, there will be requirements to visit and support all of our seven schools, five of which are in Slough, one in Eton and one in Maidenhead. Reporting to the CEO, the individual will work at both an operational and strategic level.
We are looking for an experienced and resilient HR professional to lead high-quality HR services across our Trust. This role will provide senior-level HR advice, supported by an external HR advice provider, and will have oversight of any employee relations cases across the Trust. You will also oversee day to day HR for the central team.
Our secondary and all through schools have dedicated HR staff and our primary schools and first school have staff that include HR responsibilities within wider portfolios. The role is an Interim role for six months with a possibility to extend to 12 months pending a review of the structure of the central team in 2026.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in an HR generalist role, providing advisory support to senior managers. Knowledge of school processes and an understanding of education based policies and procedures would be advantageous. Ideally you will hold a relevant HR qualification. The role is office based and ideally you will work Monday and Tuesday with some flexibility as to the other two days.
Slough has good transport links and is accessible via the Elizabeth Line. There is staff parking on site.
