HR Manager (Part-Time) - Innovative Engineering Organisation - County Antrim

MCS Group is thrilled to be representing an expanding, innovative engineering organisation based in County Antrim, currently seeking an experienced HR Manager on a permanent, part-time basis.

The company

This award winning and innovative company have grown at a steady rate over the past 5 years, currently sitting with circa 30 staff on their Count Antrim site. The company's senior leadership team are extremely bought into HR and it's impact on the rest of the business, understanding it's commercial importance, therefore the successful candidate will have complete buy in from the senior management team.

The local organisation is part of a global brand, therefore there will be a lot of strategic global projects for the successful candidate to focus on.

The role

Reporting to the VP of HR, the successful HR Manager will be responsible for the effective delivery of all HR aspects for the business, working in partnership with the management team to support them on any people issues, ensuring excellent service in a consistent manner.

The successful HR Manager will work in a standalone capacity locally, partnering with various internal stakeholders throughout the business to understand current and future requirements recruitment requirements, taking on full responsibility to recruitment, ensuring talent is pipe-lined to key areas. It is important the successful candidate is capable of doing everything from administration, through to dealing with senior stakeholders globally, given the stand alone nature of the role.

The business is firmly focused on continuous improvement, therefore the HR Manager will be involved in a number of value adding projects. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing policies and procedures to drive performance, as well as updating the employee handbook and taking full responsibility to drafting contracts of employment.

To apply for the role

Suitable candidates will possess a relevant degree and be CIPD qualified, with extensive HR Business Partner / HR Manager level experience, where they have worked with and successfully influenced senior stakeholders,

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent), ideally possessing a CIPD qualification
  • 4 + years' experience at HR Business Partner / HR Manager or equivalent level
  • Excellent relationship management and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work in an autonomous fashion
  • Sound understanding of recent employment legislation
