A HR Casework and Change Consultant at Lambeth Council involves providing expert advice and guidance on a range of HR issues including employee relations and change management. The role includes supporting managers, developing working relationships, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.

This role reports to the Casework & Change Manager and will offer a great opportunity to work in a successful HR Policy & Employment Relations team, to enable good people management practice across the council.
You will be responsible for providing specialist advice on complex HR issues to managers and senior leaders across the Council with regards to the following:
This will involve managing a portfolio of employee relation cases including disciplinary, grievance and performance management in an effective and timely manner.
You will support and lead the numerous change initiatives to ensure a successful implementation using your expert skills and knowledge on change management principles and best practise.
It’s an interesting time and an opportunity to contribute positively to all the changes and challenges happening in local government.
Day to Day responsibilities will involve coaching and supporting the line managers to ensure sound management of employee relations cases. This will involve using your expert knowledge of employment law to identify and monitor key trends in the ER casework. Looking for opportunities to improve policies, line management ways of working and capability challenges.
Stakeholder management will be high on the day-to-day agenda, through engaging with key stakeholders, colleagues within the HR function and the Trade Union representatives.
