HR Business Partner

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will work closely with the UK leadership team, providing strategic and operational HR support across a population of approximately 120 employees in the UK and Ireland. This is a broad, hands‑on HR Business Partner role, combining day‑to‑day people support with longer‑term organisational and transformation initiatives.

You will play a key role in supporting managers, developing capability, strengthening performance, and ensuring HR practices align with both local requirements and wider group policies.

Key Responsibilities
Business Partnership & Leadership Support
  • Act as a trusted HR partner to senior leaders and managers
  • Support organisational change and transformation initiatives
  • Contribute to the implementation of country and business strategy
Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Manage end‑to‑end talent acquisition across the UK and Ireland
  • Support job posting, sourcing, screening and interviews
  • Implement and continuously improve onboarding processes
  • Train managers on probation management and performance recording
Employee Lifecycle Management
  • Support performance review cycles and talent identification
  • Advise on development needs, retention strategies and mobility
  • Manage performance management and offboarding processes
Employee Relations & Compliance
  • Advise managers on individual and collective employment matters
  • Ensure HR practices are legally compliant, including contracts, amendments, disciplinaries and terminations
  • Act as a point of escalation for complex ER cases
HR Projects & Continuous Improvement
  • Contribute to global HR initiatives and local process improvements
  • Ensure effective implementation of group HR policies, with appropriate local adaptation
  • Continuously enhance employee experience and HR delivery
About You

This role would suit an experienced HR Generalist ready to step into an HR Business Partner role, or an existing HRBP looking to further develop their experience in a broad, autonomous position.

You will bring
  • A minimum of 3 years’ HR Generalist experience
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification (Level 5 desirable or working towards)
  • Experience working closely with senior leadership teams
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law
  • Confidence managing a wide-ranging HR remit, including HR administration
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused and approachable style
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally, including internationally
