Job summary

A recruitment agency in Milton Keynes seeks an experienced HR Business Partner for a 3-month contract. The role involves managing complex employee relations cases, providing risk-based advice, and partnering with managers in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience, a strong understanding of UK employment law, and relevant CIPD qualifications. Immediate availability is preferred.

Job description

HR Business Partner – 3-Month Contract

Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid)

Duration: 3 months

Rate: TBC

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

This is an urgent requirement due to the volume and complexity of current employee relations casework.

You will play a key role in managing high-risk ER matters across multiple sites, working with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex ER cases including grievances, disciplinaries, capability, sickness, change management, and TUPE.
• Provide confident, risk-based advice on employment law and HR best practice.
• Partner with managers to deliver effective HR solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Requirements

• Proven hands‑on experience in managing complex ER casework.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
• CIPD Level 5+ (ideally Level 7).
• Experience in the public sector and working in unionised environments.

Due to nature of the role, we require candidates who are available immediately or on short notice periods.
