A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the team of the Medical High Care Unit at Salford Royal Hospital.

Are you a well‑motivated and enthusiastic, hardworking individual to undertake the supportive role of Housekeeper and administrative personnel for the MHCU?

The MHCU is an 8‑bedded unit, caring for acutely unwell patients requiring single organ support including cardiac monitoring. The unit holds a GREEN status within the Inpatient Assessment & Accreditation System (IPAAS) and maintains a high standard of patient care and cleanliness which is an important part of our daily organisation on the unit.

The post provides an exciting challenge to the successful candidate and gives the opportunity to play a key role in supporting the needs of the MHCU nursing team.

Responsibilities
  • Stocking up and maintenance of equipment
  • Ordering and maintaining stores
  • Ward clerk admin duties
  • General housekeeping
  • Audits to support within the unit
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise across multi‑agency and multi‑disciplinary departments
  • Experience of working with the general public is essential
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to an environment of changing priorities
  • Good literacy, IT, numeracy, communication and organisational skills
  • Caring attitude and ability to work effectively under direction as part of a multidisciplinary team
