Overview

BaxterStorey – Location: Moorgate, London. Contract: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexibility required on hours). Salary: £28.8k. Exciting opportunity at this new location opening in November. Working in a team of 4, the hospitality service runs alongside a coffee shop.

Job Title

Hospitality Assistant

Responsibilities
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down for events or functions as needed
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
  • Serve meals and drinks with attention to detail and presentation
  • Maintain a clean and tidy dining area, including tables and service stations
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and quality
  • Handle client enquiries and resolve any issues promptly and courteously
  • Process payments and operate the till system accurately
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and support colleagues during busy periods
Qualifications
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
  • Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service techniques
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with a supportive attitude towards colleagues
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays
  • Basic maths skills for handling cash and card transactions
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Previous experience in hospitality or food service is desirable
