Are you a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for a rewarding temporary role in a welcoming primary school near Oswaldtwistle? We are seeking a dedicated professional to support pupils and teachers across a range of year groups.

About the Role

As a HLTA, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day running of the school by:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons and covering classes across various year groups
  • Supporting teachers by easing workload pressures, allowing more time for lesson planning and marking
  • Assisting with lesson planning and evaluating pupil progress
  • Providing targeted support to pupils, particularly in key subjects such as literacy, reading and maths
  • Working closely with class teachers to ensure all lessons are engaging, effective and inclusive
  • Handling relevant paperwork and contributing to assessments
  • Communicating positively with parents about pupil progress when required
  • Acting as a strong role model, encouraging positive behaviour and a love of learning
