Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - SEN Schools - Northampton

Location: Northampton
Job Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: 95 - 120 per day (DOE)

Are you a confident HLTA passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with outstanding SEN schools across Northampton to place committed professionals ready to make a real impact.

As a HLTA, you'll take a lead role in supporting the delivery of learning, implementing specialist programmes, and ensuring every child receives the tailored support they need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver structured interventions to small groups and individuals
  • Plan and deliver lessons under the guidance of the class teacher or SENCO
  • Lead classroom activities in the teacher's absence
  • Support pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH
  • Track pupil progress and contribute to assessments and EHCP reviews
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and external agencies
