The ideal candidate will work alongside teachers to plan effective learning activities and provide tailored support to students. Those with HLTA status and strong communication skills will excel in this role. This position is critical for fostering an inclusive atmosphere where all students feel valued and are encouraged to reach their full potential.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our school community. The successful candidate will support high-quality teaching and learning across the school.
You will be working closely with class teachers to plan, prepare, and evaluate learning activities that meet the diverse needs of pupils. Contribute to creating an inclusive, nurturing environment where every child feels safe, valued, and supported in their learning.
Collaborate with staff, external agencies, and the wider school community to ensure children receive consistent, high-quality support.
The school serves a very diverse community: pupils come from many different ethnic and cultural backgrounds and the aim is to create a safe, supportive, welcoming environment whether in class or outside.
The school's curriculum is designed to be ambitious yet supportive, to allow all pupils — including those with additional needs — to access learning and reach their potential.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are HLTA.
In return, the school can offer the successful candidate: Smart Teachers do not discriminate on the grounds of age, gender, race, colour, religion, disability or sexual orientation, and we welcome applications from all sections of the community.
