Salary: GBP43,(Apply online only) – GBP53,(Apply online only) per annum
Hours: Early and late shifts Monday to Friday (06:00 – 14:00)

We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or LGV Fitter to join a well-equipped, professional commercial vehicle workshop in Avonmouth. This role offers excellent pay, weekday hours, and the chance to upskill through industry-leading training. You will work on modern trucks, undertake inspections, and carry out both planned maintenance and reactive repairs, ensuring vehicles meet DVSA roadworthiness standards.

Responsibilities
  • Service, repair, and maintain HGVs, LGVs, and commercial vehicles to the highest standard
  • Carry out MOT preparations and safety inspections
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
  • Complete all service documentation accurately and on time
  • Work efficiently to support workshop productivity and minimise downtime
Qualifications

Essential

  • Experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, LGV Fitter, Truck Mechanic, or Heavy Vehicle Technician
  • Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification or equivalent time-served experience
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • HGV Class 1 licence
  • Experience in a main dealer or large fleet maintenance environment
  • Knowledge of diagnostics software and equipment
